A section of Woodbourne Road more than one mile long will be closing from Sept. 2 to Sept. 9. As CSX repairs tracks near the Woodbourne Station in Middletown Township, the road will only be available to local traffic.

Beginning north at Wood Lane, the closure continues all the way to Maple Avenue (Route 213). No one will be allowed to drive across the crossing all week, even local traffic.

People looking to park in the SEPTA lot for the crossing will only be able to access it from the north, Wood Lane, entrance. Businesses along the road will also stay open, but only be accessible from their side of the tracks.

PennDOT has organized a detour route, sending traffic from Langhorne-Yardley Road to Flowers Mill Road, then down to Rt. 213.

“It will be a bit of a headache for the week, but nothing we can’t handle. Just plan ahead and be patient, as this will create some congestion on the detour roads, especially during rush hours,” said the Middletown Township Police Department.
