The demand on food pantries has never been higher due to the pandemic, but although food shortages have been faithfully addressed by government, social service agencies, churches and charities, supplies are dwindling.

But, you can help your neighbors this weekend.

On Saturday, May 2, donations will be accepted curbside at Christopher Jones Memorial Park, 499 Beechwood Ave., located off Maple Avenue in Langhorne. Volunteers will be there between 10 a.m. – noon.

Canned goods, dry foods, baby supplies, including larger diapers, are needed. Also, checks or store gift cards are gratefully accepted.

In Levittown, Mary’s Cupboard, which serves the Lower Bucks area through Catholic Social Services, has scheduled a drop-off to replenish its shelves on Sunday at Mary’s Cupboard, St. Michael’s Church, 100 Levittown Parkway, near Route 13, Levittown. Again, between 10 a.m. and noon.

Organizers are asking donors to refrain from social gathering at the locations and please wear protective gear.
