WBCB 1490 Toys For Tots Collections Double From Last Year

Toys For Tots collections
Bags filled with toys for Toys for Tots sit in the WBCB 1490 lobby waiting for pick up.

The numbers are in for this year’s WBCB 1490 Toys For Tots drive, and it’s a big increase from 2018. With the help of partner businesses throughout Lower Bucks, the drive collected more than double the number of toys from 2018.

Generous donors sent in 654 toys, with 35 books and 135 stocking stuffers. These stocking stuffers are typically smaller items.

Last year, WBCB collected 305 toys and almost 200 stocking stuffers, a decrease from the year before at about 360. But the turnaround for 2019 more than makes up for it.

Broadcasts from locations like Fletcher’s Garage and 225 Lincoln Properties got out the word, and it shows in the results. Every toy will go to a child in Bucks County.

Along with the kind contributors who donated toys, 1-800-Got-Junk provided a vehicle free of charge to transport the toys.
