A new Wawa is coming to East Lincoln Highway after approval from the Middletown Township Board of Supervisors at Tuesday night’s meeting. It will open at the location of the now closed Paul Burns Auto Center.

In addition to the Wawa itself, a new traffic signal will be installed on the highway. The light will sit near the Penndel-Middletown Emergency Squad building.

Representative Bill Reardon, P.E., said the 5,000 square foot Wawa Food Market will come with 8 gas pumps. Each pump will have two sides, serving 16 vehicles total.

With sixty parking spaces, and being situated on a busy roadway near I-295, the new location is clearly anticipating a decent number of customers. It sits 1.5 miles away from the nearest other Wawa at 1500 Trenton Road.
