The start of school is just over a month away for many students in Bucks County, which means it’s time again for United Way Bucks Stuff the Bus.

Ann Gauvreau is a member with St. James Episcopal Church in Bristol, founded in 1712. Gauvreau wants to get the word about donations out early.

“We’re partnering with the United Way,” Gauvreau said. “Our mission is we’re trying to supply over 3,500 children in Bucks County with school supplies and the tools necessary to start the new school year.”

Notebooks, pencils, and gift cards to stores like Walmart and Target are all in high demand for Stuff the Bus 2019.

“We do have a box at the church so people can even drop off at the actual church,” Gauvreau said. The address is 225 Walnut Street in Bristol Borough.

Last year’s Stuff the Bus supplied 3,378 kids with backpacks full of supplies.

The last day to donate is August 11. This will give United Way time to fill the backpacks and distribute them to children in need.

Other drop-off locations are scattered throughout the county. More information on how to donate and volunteer is available on the United Way Bucks website here.
