Two well-traveled roads in Lower Bucks will be closed on specific days this week for vital repairs and improvements.
Bristol Road will re-close between Spruce Avenue and U.S. 1 in Bensalem Monday morning due to the severe deterioration of a pipe. Originally, the repairs were scheduled to be done by the end of last week.
Rain prevented crews from working so the road was reopened Wednesday. Now, this week the road will be closed Monday, Feb. 11, through Wednesday, Feb. 13.
Then, in Middletown Township, BCWSA crews are conducting sewer work on Langhorne-Yardley road this upcoming weekend. The section between Bridgetown Pike and Flowers Mill Road will remain closed from 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15 through 5 a.m. Monday.
The detour will redirect motorists to Winchester Ave., Langhorne-Newtown Road, and Bridgetown Pike. This excludes local traffic up to work zones.
U.S. 1, Street Road Intersection
Additionally, nighttime lane closures in each direction continue Monday, Feb. 11 on U.S. 1 and Street Road through Friday evening. This week’s work will complete the project to setup long-term traffic patterns closing the northbound U.S. 1 ramps to and from eastbound Street Road.
