Speak MY Piece: Impeachment Inquiry

National politics for the last three years has been dominated by the Democrats’ drive to overturn the results of the last presidential election. The old war chant, Russia, Russia, Russia, has become Impeach, Impeach, Impeach. Same goal.

Anyone can see the Democrats are out of their collective minds ever since the outsider, Donald Trump, won. Before he was sworn in the losing party and its shocked friends launched the Dump Trump scheme with a Russian collusion story, a phony dossier, followed by other failed attempts to bring Trump down.

As we know, the Russian collusion story ended in a hiccup, but the search was on for some other reason to impeach the president. And this week it was the Ukrainian Telephone Call that ignited the impeachment inquiry and the House Intelligent Committee hearing
(Thursday). This July call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine covered a few issues but one comment rose from a mere suggestion about corruption to a pay-to-play “offer” allegedly made by the president – once the spinmasters got hold.

However, the White House release of the transcript of the trans-Atlantic phone call punched holes in the latest howls for impeachment. Not so fast, the march continues toward
impeachment in the hands of the Democrats and their minions in the media.

What will come of this? Nothing but political noise, with the ultimate victim being Joe Biden, who will not be the Democrat candidate for president in 2020. No, Uncle Joe has been tainted by his own actions vis-à-vis the Ukraine during his tenure as vice president. Notably, the issue re-surfaced in the July phone conversation, which was leaked conveniently, by a so-called whistle-blower. The dart was aimed at the president.

The sticky story, whose details and accusations have been made publicly, also involves Biden’s son. Hunter Biden had business dealings with a Ukrainian energy industry, sat on the board of directors of one company and raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars. Reportedly, he also was a principal in a small company dealing with Chinese banks and banking while Biden was vice president. That’s the tip of the story as far as I know.

So, the push to impeach President Trump snared Joe Biden with a long-dormant story and brings the former vice president into focus.

Two things: Uncle Joe can forget about winning the Democrat primary and the latest attempt to impeach Trump will have the same outcome as the Russian collusion accusation.

Stay tuned.
