There will be lane closures, construction and resurfacing operations aplenty this week in Lower Bucks County.

There is major road work being done in Lower Makefield today on the Pennsylvania side of Scudder Falls bridge until 5 p.m. I-295 Westbound will face lane closures down to a single lane in some instances as changes are being made to the highway’s Taylorsville Road interchange.

The changes include a complete replacement of the current Exit 10, with a new temporary exit opening up to Taylorsville Road North and South, along with the addition of a new traffic signal.

Access to the westbound Pennsylvania welcome center may also be blocked at some points.

In Falls and Middletown Townships, work will continue on the project to improve safety of the Route 1 interchange with Route 32, and Route 13. Overnight land closures should be expected from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. from now until Friday.

In a project extending from Philadelphia to Bristol, guide rails are being replaced on I-95 to better suit today’s vehicles. The overnight work from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. every weekday will conclude Friday morning. Lane closures will be in effect in both directions from Philly to the Route 413/Bristol interchange.

As always, motorists are advised to factor in additional time to their commute as these changes are made.
