Richard Evans, 35, pleaded no contest to raping a young boy in Morrisville last December.
Evans was declared a sexually violent predator in 2015 for indecent assault on a 9-year-old girl and endangering the welfare of a child. Despite the conviction, and his need to register with state police Evans failed to do so after his release. He was arrested shortly after.
All while the Morrisville Borough, Bensalem Township, and Falls Township Police Departments were investigating the rape of a 12-year-old boy.
During an interview with police in January 2017, Evans admitted to showing the boy pornographic videos and having anal and oral sex with him.
Deputy District Attorney Kate Kohler noted Evans was an adjudicated delinquent in 1999 for indecent exposure as a juvenile.
Kohler and defense attorney Paul Lang agreed to a negotiated plea and took into account his sexual offenses, failure to report and parole violations.
Bucks County Common Pleas Court Judge Raymond McHugh accepted and sentenced Evans 20 to 50 years in state prison.
