State Rep. Frank Farry will be hosting his annual free Senior Health Fair next Friday at the Middletown Senior Center. From 10 a.m. to noon on April 12, seniors can receive free health screenings, speak with representatives from local agencies, and learn special fitness tips.
Aid Ashley Conaway with Farry’s office says the Senior Health Fair focuses on total health and wellness.
“We have a couple additional things such as free fitness demonstrations of TaiChi and yoga,” said Conaway. “Farry would just love see everybody and their family members if they have any questions or problems. That’s why he’s having the event.”
Each year, Farry features different fitness programs. The TaiChi/QiGong demonstration is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. while yoga takes place at 11.
“We also have some health screenings,” Conaway said. “As well as some individuals there from hospitals and doctor’s offices that can answer questions for seniors and their families.”
Seniors can also dispose their unused medication at a mobile medication collection box. No advanced registration is required to attend this event.
Officially known as the Raymond P. Mongillo Sr. Community Center, the Middletown Senior Center is located at 2140 Trenton Road in Levittown. Light refreshments and door prizes will be available.
Anyone with questions can call Farry’s Langhorne office at (215) 752-6750.
