Lower Bucks is recovering from widespread power outages thanks to last night’s storms. More than three-quarters of county-wide outages are centered in the southeastern part of the county.
Bensalem, Bristol, Falls, Middletown, Morrisville, and Newtown have been hit especially hard, accounting for more than 11,000 customers without power as of 6 a.m. PECO is currently working to fix problems in several municipalities.
More than half of Langhorne Manor lacked power through the night. Meanwhile, Newtown Township Police confirmed most traffic signals in the are are either on generator power or have portable stop signs.
“Use caution at intersections until power is fully restored,” the Newtown Township Police Department tweeted. “According to PECO, the power outages may go into Tuesday afternoon if not longer in some areas.”
