The Pennsbury School District has a new Business Administrator after a unanimous Board of School Directors vote last week.
Christopher Berdnik has served school districts in Pennsylvania for more than two decades, including Director of Business Operations in the Bensalem School District from 2014-2016. As business administrator, he will handle the budget and manage payroll among other responsibilities.
“The reputation here for academic rigor, diversity, the fostering of character and the multi-year planning is really what’s attracting the talent,” Berdnik said. “I am just so honored to be here. There’s just so much energy. I really appreciate the opportunity.”
Berdnik holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He has earned several awards from the PA Association of School Business Officials and the Association of School
Business Officials International.
“Mr. Berdnik is recognized as one of the best in the state and I am very excited that he is joining us,” said TR Kannan, School Board President. “I am also glad that we continue to attract top talent as we solidify our top level administrative team to move Pennsbury forward.”
His starting salary is about $175,000.
The Board has also brought in William R. Gretton, III to serve in a business administration capacity. Gretton will stay until Berdnick is released from his position of Chief Financial Officer for the Centennial School District.
