Overnight road work in Bensalem and Lower Southampton this week may heavily impact motorists’ commutes.

The on and off ramps from U.S. 1 north to the PA Turnpike will be closed overnight, Monday through Thursday, Oct. 17. From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., crews will be building a new bridge over the ramps.

Instead of using the U.S. 1 on-ramp to get on the Turnpike, motorists must use the Neshaminy Exit. From there, vehicles will be directed left onto Rockhill Drive, and over to the southbound ramp for Turnpike access.

Any drivers on the Turnpike looking to exit onto Route 1 northbound must exit onto southbound U.S. 1. Then, they can turn right onto Street Road and left at the temporary light.

Additionally, there will be overnight lane restrictions for both U.S. 1 and Street Road all week near the interchange.

In Lower Southampton, crews will conduct overnight work near the Bustleton Pike and Street Road intersection. There will be lane closures weeknights through Tuesday, Oct. 22.
