Update 10:05 a.m.: Northbound I-95 has reopened, traffic cameras show.

Two people are critically injured and one person is dead after a fatal crash on I-95 in Bensalem early Wednesday morning.

Authorities say it occurred around 2 a.m. in the northbound lane and involved a driver going the wrong way hitting another vehicle. Glass and debris was strewn across the roadway and both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

The highway’s northbound lane is closed between Academy and Woodhaven Roads as investigators examine the scene. Traffic is being diverted onto Academy Road, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

A vehicle from the Cornwells Fire Department is on the scene.

The situation is still developing as the current condition of the other two victims is unknown.
