Two Newtown Township police officers have a little more responsibility following their promotions, which took place at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Wednesday April 11, 2018.

Detective Sergeant Jason Harris first served Newtown Borough in 1991. Since then, he has worked as a patrol officer and has been involved with Field Training, SWAT, and MIRT. In 2004 he was transferred to Detectives and was promoted to the rank of Corporal supervising criminal investigations in 2013.

Harris graduated from a ten week course at the Northwestern University School of Police in February. Detective Sergeant Jason Harris was promoted to lieutenant this past Wednesday.

Detective Daniel Bartle was promoted to detective corporal. Bartle graduated from Montgomery County Police Academy and also started his career in Newtown Borough. He specialized in DUI enforcement and drug investigations as a patrol officer from 2003 to 2016.
