The Newtown Business Association held its 13th annual Business Exposition and Culinary Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 3 to 7 p.m.
Over 70 businesses from all over Newtown gathered at the Newtown Athletic Club to show the community all they have to offer. Businesses tabled with information about their products and services, spoke with customers about their businesses, raffled items, and offered food and fun for all patrons.
“Our members all bond together to do something good for the community,” said NBA President Bill Sheffer. The event has been going strong for over a decade, and it represents the ever evolving local business culture of Newtown.
“Newtown is thriving, and we’re constantly doing ribbon cutting ceremonies as new businesses open up,” said Sheffer.
Scott Fegley, Co-chair of the Newtown Business Association explained that this event does not get put together overnight. Members of the NBA and other organizations in the community worked aimlessly for several months to coordinate this event.
The Newtown Business Association is responsible for putting together events for the community year round, and aims to give back to the people that lift up their businesses.
