A teenage girl who disappeared almost two weeks ago is safe and has been reunited with her family after an extensive, multi-county search. Prosecutors report she may have been held against her will and investigators will likely make arrests.
Riley Harkins, 15, went missing on Sept. 21. Local news reports from her home town of Media Borough, Delaware County, show she took a train into Philadelphia with her friend.
The friend returned home on Monday, Sept. 23, but without Harkins. She reported to police the pair had met with people they did not know. The friend also mentioned a home in the Kingsessing Section of Southwest Philadelphia
County authorities expanded the search into Philadlephia, and the Bristol Borough Police Department reported Harkins was possibly seen in the Lower Bucks area.
Finally, investigators located Harkins Wednesday in Philadelphia. Reports indicate at least two older individuals lured her to the home, then held her against her will.
CBS3 reported the investigation is still in early days, but there will be arrests made in connection to the incident.
