An officer from the Middletown Township Police Department is the latest in a series of lower Bucks resident facing child pornography charges.
Police say they found images on electronics owned by Brian Craig Reeves, 52, during a search of his home on Jun. 2. Detectives allegedly found one device, a USB drive, store in a drawer next to his bed. It contained several pictures of underage children, according to authorities.
Reeves is the third local resident in a week to face charges related to possession of child pornography. The other two cases involved an investigation related to online websites.
The officer is currently on administrative leave. He is charged with felony counts of sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communication facility.
Reeves posted bail set at $50,000. District Judge Daniel Baranoski stipulated he cannot access the internet or have unsupervised contact with minors.
