The Lower Southampton Township Police have made an arrest in connection with a fire at the Croftwood Apartments.
A blaze broke out in one residence on the third floor Tuesday morning around 7:45 a.m.
Now, Frank Milles III, 33, is in custody for alleged arson and related charges.
Authorities say it took several fire companies and EMS agencies to tackle the one-alarm fire, which was reportedly difficult to extinguish. Numerous residents have been displaced and there is substantial damage to the building and roof.
“We would like to thank the brave men and women that responded to the incident that provided the professional services that we are fortunate to have,” the LSPD said in a press release.
