A man suspected of possessing child pornography is now in police custody thanks to a cooperative effort between Lower Makefield Township Police, the FBI, the New Britain Township Police, and other agencies.
Alex Charyton, 59, of Northampton Township turned himself into the police Monday when he realized authorities had issued a warrant for his arrest.
The collaboration between police mostly focused on forensic analysis and the execution of search warrants. Officials say they seized electronic devices from Charyton and found more than 130 images of children thirteen years old and younger.
Some files allegedly included pornographic images of infants.
Charyton was unable to post bail at 10% of $100,000. He is now being held in Bucks County Prison with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Jan. 22, 2019.
