Detectives are investigating a series of home invasions, according to the Lower Makefield Township Police Department. Police posted several blotters late last week regarding a series of overnight break-ins reported on April 28.
All three burglaries were at Lower Makefield homes within less than a mile apart from each other, as the crow flies.
The most detailed report followed a confrontation between the resident and burglar. At 3:37 a.m., the a homeowner living on the 1200 block of Ash Lane called police about an incident in progress.
After prying open the rear door, the suspect met face to face with his victim. Police say the man took jewelry and told the resident not to follow him. The suspect said he had a gun and needed the money, according to the report.
Next, a resident living on the 1400 block of Merrick Road called police shortly after 7 a.m. The caller said someone entered their home through a window during the evening. The suspect took cash and a camera bag, though they left the bag in the yard.
Finally, the least detailed report came at 9:30 a.m. from a homeowner on the 1500 block of Pownal Drive. A burglar used an unlocked window to enter the house and took $50, police say.
