A local recruitment agency connecting job seekers to employers is spicing things up by hosting a career fair in the evening. Recruitment Queen is holding its first Bucks County Career Night at Macy’s court in Neshaminy Mall on March 22 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Jennifer Schultz is a Pennsbury graduate and attended Bucks County Community College. As founder and CEO, she focuses her company Recruitment Queen on Bucks County.
“Certainly when we started our job board and job fairs, we really wanted to focus on people in our own community,” Schultz said. Like most, Schultz typically holds her career fairs during the day, but decided to mix it up to better fit people’s schedules.
“We host about four to five job fairs per year. So for years, I’ve been hearing feedback from job seekers who are either already in a position and they want to find a better job or they’re underemployed and working part time that they can’t come out during the day time.”
Anyone seriously looking for a new job at any career fair should update their resume and do their research ahead of time. Cleaning up and wearing appropriate attire will also help make a great first impression.
“Dress appropriately for an interview because they are going to be speaking with the hiring managers,” Schultz recommended. “In addition to that, we’re going to be doing free LinkedIn head shots. We’ve hired a photographer to take people’s head shots when they are there, this way they will have it for their LinkedIn profile.”
More information is available on the Recruitment Queen website here. Employers looking to host a table can contact Jennifer Schultz at 267-981-5976. The Neshaminy Mall is located on Lincoln Highway north of the PA Turnpike interchange.
