PennDOT is keeping crews busy this week repairing roads performing flagging operations on several roads and fully closing other lanes throughout Lower Bucks County.

Motorists should plan for delays on some sections of road for day time bridge cleanings until Friday, May 3. Crews will work on these roads from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

  • Bridgetown Pike between Route 413 and Powderhorn Court in Middletown,
  • Big Oak Road/Township Line Road between Oxford Valley Road and Langhorne Yardley Road in Lower Makefield Township.

Additionally, people driving near the Route 1/Street Road interchange in Bensalem should prepare for overnight lane closures Tuesady evening through Friday morning. Each road will be reduced to a single lane from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next morning.

The work is part of a larger project to widen Route 1 and reconstruct the Street Road interchange. It is the first of three major contracts in the area to rebuild Route 1, repair bridges, and install safety enhancements on the expressway.

More information on the project is available here, including schedules through 2022.

All roadwork is weather dependent and motorists can expect delays.
