An employee at Foley Inc. in Bensalem was struck and killed while on duty at the equipment facility Tuesday morning.
The victim, 37, was inside the garage bay of the facility on Galloway Road shortly after 10 a.m., according to the Bensalem Township Police Department. While working on an asphalt machine, a different employee was working on a steam roller. Somehow, the steam roller struck and killed the victim.
Despite Bensalem EMS taking the victim to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, he died from the injury.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration conducted an investigation after the accident. As of Tuesday evening, authorities have concluded there was nothing criminal about the incident.
Officials did not reveal the identity of the victim. They decided to transport his body to the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office.
