A Bristol man’s 2016 gas station robbery was the cherry on top leading to a sentence of up to thirty years in prison.
Eric Lamonte Jones, 46, plead guilty last week to robbing the G-Fuel on Bristol Pike two years ago with an ice pick. Jones obscured his hand in a way to make the tool look like a fire arm.
Co-conspirator Larry McLean, 56, was convicted for brandishing a knife during the heist and making off with $130, but has not yet been sentenced.
Deputy District Attorney Christopher Rees acted as prosecutor in the case. Bucks County Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. doled out Jones’ sentence of between 15 and 30 years.
Jones’ rap sheet spanning decades composed of multiple felony convictions, including robbery and kidnapping throughout Bucks and Philadelphia Counties, led to his lengthy sentence.
