The Falls Township Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a hit and run earlier this week.
John Rodriguez, 48, is charged with aggravated assault and DUI for the incident on Apr. 9 near the Route 1 South/ Stony Hill Road on-ramp.
Police say Rodriguez was driving under the influence of alcohol when he rear-ended the victim’s car. The victim’s vehicle spun around, and they suffered minor injuries.
Police tracked down Rodriguez after he stopped at a shopping center in Lower Makefield. A witness at the scene saw Rodriguez leave his vehicle and flee on foot. They provided officers with a description to aid in the pursuit, and a K-9 unit tracked his scent.
Soon, police found Rodriguez who admitted his actions to authorities. Authorities transported him back to headquarters. Officials report they then found Rodriguez was driving on a suspended license.
