Power outages in Levittown Monday morning caused by winds of up to 60 mph forced a Neshaminy School District elementary school to close for the day.

Pearl S. Buck Elementary, located on Top Road in Middletown, is experiencing an extended power outage. Without power, the school cannot serve is staff and students properly.

A power transformer sits on a utility pole.

A PECO power outage map shows about 330 customers in Levittown may remain without power until early this afternoon due to severe weather.

All after-school activities for Pearl are cancelled as well. Neshaminy Community Relations Coordinator Chris Stanley confirmed all other schools in the district will remain open today.
