A high school teacher from Yardley is accused of sexually abusing a student back in 2005. He faces a first-degree misdemeanor count of corruption of minors, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.
Kevin Elvey II, 41, has been suspended from his teaching position at New Hope-Solebury High School since this past June.
Documents show the female victim, who was 17 at the time of the alleged abuse, told authorities the acts took place in Elvey’s home numerous times. She was a senior at the school.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office says they believe there could be more victims.
“If you have been victimized by this man, we have the resources to help you,” said Bucks County District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub. “Whether you were a victim or have information about other victims, please do not hesitate to call.”
Elvey was released on unsecured bail of $50,000. Anyone who is a victim or has other information can reach out to Bucks County Detective David Hanks at 215-348-6344.
