A group effort among several area police departments resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Alex McIntosh this past Thursday.
The investigation was ignited following a tip to the Lower Makefield Police Narcotics Unit in early December 2017 that McIntosh was selling heroin in the Morrisville area. With the help of the department’s detectives division, the Falls Township Police Department, Morrisville Borough Police Department and the Bristol Borough Police Department, a month-long investigation was conducted.
In the investigation, police executed four controlled heroin purchases from McIntosh in the month. Forty bags of the drug were purchased and during one of the transactions, McIntosh brought two children, ages seven months and two years, with him.
Police arrested McIntosh on Jan. 3, 2018 and executed a search warrant of his home, in which they found a Taurus .45 caliber handgun, about eight grams of powder cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, three Suboxone strips and a small amount of liquid codeine. Authorities also found 30 bags of heroin and 22 grams of crack cocaine on McIntosh after performing a strip search.
McIntosh was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, dealing in proceeds from unlawful activities, criminal use of a communication facility, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of heroin, cocaine, and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Prison after not posting bail.
