Habitat Bucks ReStore is swooping into the rescue as Heaven’s Treasures Thrift & Value was forced to close its doors due to low sales and revenues.

Hearts broke in Bucks County last month as the outlets in Bristol Township and Feasterville known for offering donated goods at a low price closed unexpectedly. Now, the Restore located at in Langhorne is seeing increased demand for donation pickups.

The Langhorne ReStore and its counterpart in Chalfont have added a fifth full-time truck to their lineup to meet this demand. The stores are also open to reviewing applications of former Heaven’s Treasures employees who lost their jobs through no fault of their own.

The re-purposing shop gladly takes unwanted furniture, appliances, and other miscellaneous items destined for the landfill. Instead of dumping the goods, ReStore refurbishes them and then sells them to the local community for low prices. The proceeds are then sent to Habitat Bucks so they can continue to build affordable houses for new home buyers.

For 2017, the two Restores boasted more than a combined $480,000 for Habitat Bucks and diverting 2.5 million pounds of junk from landfills. The branches will pick up larger items for free. Anyone can schedule a free donation pick up by calling (215) 822-2708.
