A Levittown man arrested for shoplifting on Black Friday had drugs and a loaded handgun on his person, the Cinnaminson Township Police say.

Instead of taking advantage of any discounts at the Walmart off Burlington Pike in New Jersey, the man allegedly tried to take 100% off his purchase. But it did not work; officers responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. to take John Maier II into custody.

When they searched Maier, police reported finding a litany of other illegal items. They allegedly found a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun, illicit drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

A resident of the Goldenridge section, Maier now faces charges including Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

Maier will remain in Burlington County Jail until a detention hearing.
