WBCB News sat down with McCaffrey’s Food Market founder and president Jim McCaffrey for Feature Friday. The local grocery store has been serving the Bucks County and central Jersey communities for over 30 years.
Originally opening first in Yardley in 1986 as its first commercial development in the township, Jim McCaffrey sought out to provide a supermarket that represented the communities it was serving.
“I just enjoy serving people, it’s been my motivation since the beginning.”
McCaffrey’s currently has locations in Yardley, Doylestown, Blue Bell, Newtown, Princeton, and West Windsor. Since its first opening in 1986, Jim McCaffrey and his associates have worked tirelessly to entrench their company in the community they’re working for.
McCaffrey’s uses a loyalty program for their customers, where with every purchase, customers receive points and special discounts. But it also uses this platform to remind their customers of their appreciation.
“When we open up a new food market, we’re going to become part of that community,” said McCaffrey. In Yardley alone, McCaffrey’s works with 155 organizations, including the American Cancer Society, St. Mary Regional Cancer Center, and the Crisis Ministry.
