An Archbishop Ryan High School graduate has received a $1,200 check from the Feasterville Business Association to help fund his college education.

Langhorne resident Daniel Chiodo will be attending Temple University this fall to study music technology. The FBA has based its decision on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and community service.

Chiodo, among many things, was the president of his school’s Tribe-A-Thon club, which helps organize their annual all-night dance marathon fundraiser. Chiodo came up with the idea as a sophomore at Archbishop Ryan, and the proceeds go to CHOP.

FBA President Charles Roman, treasurer Dennis Markowitz, and secretary Linda Pupkiewicz handed Chiodo his check last Thursday morning at the Lower Southampton July 4th Parade at the Suburban Diner. Chiodo rode in the FBA’s Belgium horse drawn wagon as an additional recognition.

The FBA is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary year in its mission to help its community. Memberships are available to anyone who lives in or owns a business in Lower Southampton.
