A Falls Township woman is charged with assaulting her own mother after allegedly punching her repeatedly during an argument. She also allegedly kicked an officer in the face while resisting arrest.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute Aug. 10 shortly before midnight at a home on Vermilion Place. A resident at the home had called police.

The mother of the accused reported her own daughter had “beat her up,” according to an affidavit. Officers on the scene reported the victim’s face being bright red.

Authorities then reportedly went upstairs to find Andrea DeBlasio in a bedroom. DeBlasio, 37, allegedly screamed “What the f–k do you want” at an officer at the scene, then continued yelling.

When police attempted to take DeBlasio into custody, the affidavit claims she struggled and kicked one of the officers in the face. One officer reported the “strong odor” of alcohol on her breath.

DeBlasio posted unsecured bail at 10% of $75,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 26.
