The Falls Township Police Department is joining forces with “Cops ‘n’ Kids,” a Delaware Valley program to jumpstart literacy initiatives in the community.

Officer John Yeager with the Falls Townships DARE/Community Policing Unit said the department is “excited to launch the book collection drive.”

“Cops ‘n’ Kids has more than 75 branches nationally and around the words and we are proud to be part of the local children’s literacy initiative that is putting books into the homes and hands of families and children who might not otherwise have access to books,” said Officer Yeager.

There will be collection bins set up in the lobby of the Falls Townships Police Department located at 188 Lincoln Highway-US Bus Rt. 1, Fairless Hills, 19030. The department is across the highway from Mealey’s Furniture Store.
