The Falls Township Police have arrested a man on charges he used a screwdriver in an attempt to kill his wife. Officers responded to the 200 block of South Olds Blvd Thursday afternoon to find the disturbing scene.

Lieutenant Nelson Whitney reported police having to pull Bao Thien Le, 24, off his betrothed Thursday as Le wrung his hands around her throat. Police say Le beat, stabbed, and choked the 22-year-old woman.

A 911 call shortly before 3:30 p.m. reported a man choking a woman at the address.

Medical professionals treated Le’s wife’s wounds, which include several stab wounds. Officials expect her to make a full recovery.

People driving by the home likely noticed a mobile crime unit truck parked outside the home Thursday evening. Detectives are continuing the investigation.

District Judge Maggie Snow arraigned Le on attempted homicide, strangulation, and related charges. Snow set bail at 10% of 150,000.
