The Eddington Fire Company held its annual open house for Fire Prevention Week. Every year, all of the Greater Philadelphia area supports their local firefighters by holding events and fundraisers during Fire Prevention Week.
For almost 75 years, Eddington Fire Co. has been actively serving communities throughout
Bucks County. Located right on Eddington Avenue, Eddington Fire Co. operates as a volunteer based fire department right in the middle of one of the neighborhoods they serve.
“We’re here 24/7 for free,” said Eddington Fire Co.’s President, Michael De Pero. “I’ve been here for 10 and a half years, and if I can help somebody, I do it.”
And the community appreciates everything they do, by coming out in droves every year for their annual open house. Attendees enjoyed local foods, raffles, games, and more, all to celebrate Eddington Fire Company’s non-stop service to the community.
“It’s a big community event here, and it’s always a big turnout,” De Pero said.
