The Metropolitan Development Group removed their proposal from the Middletown Planning Commissions docket Wednesday evening. The Middletown Planning Commission had planned to have a hearing on Metropolitan’s proposal for developing on the 168 acre Stone Meadows Farm property.
An update on Middletown Township’s website posted Wednesday afternoon states the item had been removed from the docket. However, the message does not state a reason.
Metropolitan’s current plan would build 121 homes in total splitting it into two sections. There would be 86 homes on Newtown Langhorne Road and 35 on Fulling Mill road. The development group has also pledged to keep 50 acres of open space and preserve the Stone Family’s home and barn.
This removal comes months after the Middletown Planning Commissions’ unanimous no-vote on Metropolitan’s original plans.
It is not clear why Metropolitan removed their proposal from the docket. Metropolitan has rescheduled their hearing for the July 17th Planning Commission meeting.
