Detours and road work are planned for Lower Makefield, Bristol, and Bensalem Townships this week. Motorists should plan for delays.

In Lower Makefield Township, SEPTA will be repairing the Main Street rails at the underpass this upcoming Saturday and Sunday. Local traffic will be allowed up to the underpass, but all other vehicles must follow the detour around to River Road.

PennDOT will temporarily install stop signs at the intersection of River Road and Block Rock Road. This three-way stop is designed to help the flow of traffic.

In Bristol Township, the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be conducting flagging operations on the New Falls Road bridge between Hillside Avenue and Martins Lane. Monday Sept. 30 through Friday Oct. 4, motorists can expect small delays from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. for site clearing.

Looking to I-95, there will be overnight double lane closures southbound from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. The closures will continue between the Route 413 and Academy Road interchanges.
