The Newtown Township Police have put out the word on a suspect who is stealing over-the-counter medication from multiple CVS Pharmacy stores.
Authorities say the man, a Hispanic male about 25 years old, entered the CVS on Durham Road in Wrightstown on Mar. 3 with a backpack. But after 20 minutes, he left with it full of medicine including Zegerid, Prilosec, Nexium, weight loss tablets and hair vitamins.
In a bold move, the suspect asked employees questions about the items he planned to steal. Video surveillance footage captured him leaving in a black vehicle with $1,200 in medication.
The incident is very similar to a theft at a CVS in Bensalem on Feb. 24, and officials say the same person is responsible. At this location, the man stole allergy and cold medicine valued at $1,400.
Police ask anyone who recognizes the suspect to submit a tip on Crimewatch or contact the Newtown Township Police at (215) 579-1000.
