Correction: Conwell-Egan High School did not lose power, according to a worker at the building.

Several residences and businesses went without power in an isolated area of Bristol Township Monday morning after a crash. The Wawa on the corner of Wistar and New Falls Roads went without power for extended periods of time.

An administrative assistant with the Bristol Township Police confirmed at least one vehicle hit a utility pole on Wistar Road around 7:23 a.m. near the Hidden Forest Apartments. Early reports indicate one person was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, but without serious injuries.

A Wawa employee stated no staff were allowed to comment, though customers were informed the location lost power at the time of the crash. The store reopened shortly before 12:30 p.m. to the public.

First responders had cleared the scene before noon. Maintenance crews were hard at work erecting a new utility pole shortly after noon.

Fortunately, this crash did not affect traffic drastically; the Wistar Road Bridge closure is still detouring traffic down South Queen Anne Drive.
