Tuesday morning, a man in Bristol Borough struck two porches and took down a utility pole before his arrest.
Lee Earl Williams, 33, of Dallas, PA was driving on the 500 block of Pond Street around 7 a.m. along with a passenger.
According to reports, Williams was traveling southbound on Pond when he struck a parked vehicle. He caused the car to move into the northbound lane and struck the utility pole.
Williams then attempted to leave the scene but hit the second porch across the street.
Police took Williams into custody for Driving Under the Influence. He was also charged with intent to deliver controlled substances and other related charges after narcotics were found in the vehicle.
The passenger, Douglas Akins, 30, of Bristol Township, was also arrested. Bucks had an outstanding warrant for Akins. He was arraigned before Honorable Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr.
Akins’ bail was set at 10 percent of $35,000.
Pond Street was shut down Tuesday until 2 p.m. when utility workers could replace the pole. Bucks County EMS responded to the scene, but both men denied treatment. The Bristol Fire Police responded to assist the Bristol Borough Police with traffic.
