Republican and Democratic candidates vying for the 1st Congressional seat will debate in separate events leading up to the primary election on May 15.

Bucks County Community College’s Lower Bucks Campus will host the two debates. The Gene and Marlene Epstein Campus is located at 1304 Veterans Highway, Bristol, Pa., 19007.

On Thursday, April 26, Democratic candidates: Steve Bacher, Rachel Reddic, and Scott Wallace will go head to head at 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.

Then, on Tuesday, May 1, Republican incumbent Brian Fitzpatrick will face challenger Dean Malik from 12:15 to 1 p.m.

William Pezza, who teaches political science and American national government at BCCC, will moderate both of the forums.

Buck County’s 1st Congressional district, formerly the 8th district, will choose their Republican or Democratic candidate in less than a month. The new map drawn up by the PA Supreme Court changed the section of Montgomery County that the 1st district contains.
