A building in Bristol is in need of some serious repairs after a peculiar incident last week. Bristol Borough Police report a motorist drove straight into the corporate headquarters for Bristol Environmental Incorporated.
Local police and the Bucks County Rescue Squad responded to the scene on the 1100 block of Beaver Street Friday of an older Buick sedan partially inside the damaged brick wall and bent garage door of the facility.
The motorist refused medical treatment and said his foot slipped. He accidentally pressed the gas pedal when he meant to hit the brake, losing control of his vehicle. Instead of stopping at a stop sign, he jumped the curb and slammed directly into the building.
No one was injured in the crash, though the car’s front end was heavily damaged.
Inspectors arrived to the seen to assess the damage and work with the business to determine the next course of action.
