Though the convenience store is known for being open 24/7, the Newtown Township 7-Eleven will be closed for the foreseeable future as it repairs a hole in the front caused by a car accident.
Police responded at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday morning to the store located at 100 South Sycamore Street and found a car halfway through the storefront. The two vehicle accident resulted in on car being jettisoned into the front window head first.
Luckily no one was injured, but three people were taken to the hospital for a closer look and peace of mind.
An examination of the building’s structural integrity must be conducted before the 7-Eleven can reopen.
