The Bucks County Office of Veterans Affairs is co-hosting a Veterans Expo at Parx East in early November. With more than 80 exhibit tables and several conferences, the goal is to serve anyone in the Delaware Valley who has served their country.
The Expo kicks off Veterans Day weekend on Nov. 8 at 1:45 p.m. with an opening ceremony. After the ribbon cutting at 2 p.m., vets are invited to explore the many available opportunities.
There are also three larger conferences on the third floor of the Parx East building. Each will serve a particular demographic or purpose.
First is opportunity to see the people actually in charge at the Veterans Administration Town Hall Meeting from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Director of the Bucks County Office of Veterans Affairs Dan Fraley says attendees will have a chance to voice their concerns with top brass.
“We have not forgot about our women veterans,” Fraley added. From 5 to 6:30 p.m., there will be a Women Veterans Conference.
Finally, at night, the Travis Manion Foundation will be holding a Post-9/11 Veterans Conference from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
This event is free to all veterans and their spouses, widows, or children. Parx East is located at 3001 Street Road in Bensalem.
