Select Bucks County Officers and Sheriffs celebrated in Philadelphia on Thursday while assisting with the Eagles Super Bowl Champions parade.
Langhorne, Morrisville, and Warrington Departments sent officers attached to the Bucks County Major Incident Response Team. The MIRT specializes in emergencies, especially large-scale events. The unit has highly trained officers with personnel and logistical support.
The MIRT has helped during the 2015 Papal visit, the 2016 Radnor Township Villanova University NCAA Championship celebration, and the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
The Bucks’ Officers were stationed along the parade route at Benjamin Franklin Parkway near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The Warrington Department said, “We thank Philadelphia Police for a job well done today organizing security for the event and their hospitality. Go Eagles!!!”
