The road first closed Monday and will remain closed for the rest of the week.

Motorists will be detoured over U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway), Route 132 (Street Road), and Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike). Local traffic will still be able to access their roads.

PennDOT has also announced PECO Energy will be conducting flagging operations in Newtown Borough next week. Utility installation will be conducted on Washington Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Maple Avenue. The work is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
