The Bristol Borough Police are reminding residents to follow the rules of the road – even when parking on it.
The department reports it has received more complaints than usual recently about vehicles nestled too close to an intersection or too far away from the curb. They are hoping a public message will reduce the number of avoidable tickets.
A bad parking job can block trash trucks, cause traffic delays, and even make students late for school.
Police say motorists should be mindful they park close to the curb, and not too close to an intersection, often marked by painted yellow lines. Violating these laws can result in a fine.
