More than 300 children spent a “Night at the Carnival” Tuesday evening with the Bristol Borough Police, enjoying rides, ice cream, and giveaways.
With St. Ann’s Fair in full swing, the police department decided to host the event in the spirit of National Night Out. Council President Ralph DiGuiseppe suggested the idea and it flourished.
“The value of an opportunity for a situation like this, where the community and police can interact in a positive atmosphere cannot be overstated,” said Chief Steven Henry.
The children were also treated to a special opening time just for them.
Ernie and Pat DeCaro, owners of Bristol Environmental, sponsored the event. The Bristol Borough Police Department said it “would like to publicly thank” Bristol Environmental and the volunteers of St. Ann’s Fair.
